Our Story
At Country Escape Tasmania, we strive to provide exceptional visitor accommodation. From luxurious romantic cabins to pet-friendly cottages, we cater to diverse needs. Owned by the Crombie family since 1971, our property has transformed from a Strawberry Farm into a Galloway Stud and now a serene countryside retreat. We are committed to creating memorable experiences and welcoming guests to our little piece of paradise, reflecting our passion for the Tasmanian wilderness and offering a true country experience.

Our herd.....
We have, on average, 30 animals including bulls, cows and calves. They have a quiet temperament, but be cautious approaching them, particularly if the cows have calves at foot. Cows will be protective of their young. Having said that, most cattle will eat a carrot or an apple from your hand, so feel free to pick an apple from one of the many fruit trees, either for yourself or one for the cows. They will instantly become your best friend!
